Monthly Summary: August

And just like that, another harvest season comes to a close…

After a busy start in July with combines in full swing, several farms have successfully completed their 2024 harvest. We visited a few of them, watching as our tractors helped with baling straw and grain trailers carting from the field. While the yard was initially empty of tractors, trailers, and telehandlers, our machines are now trickling back, steadily replenishing our stock.

As each piece of equipment returns from hire, our workshop team is hard at work servicing and preparing them to go back out on hire. As we transition into Autumn, we’re converting grain trailers into silage trailers, getting them ready for the upcoming silage and maize harvests.

Muckspreaders

Through late August, our muckspreaders have been in high demand for post-harvest muck applications. Both side and rear discharge models have been fully booked over the last couple of weeks, and while demand remains strong, we still have some availability for next week and the remainder of the month. Secure your muckspreader by booking as early as possible!

Machinery Sales

The closing of harvest results in last year's trailers being put up for sale. As we only keep our trailers for two harvest seasons, the 2023 models will be the newest ones to the machinery sale page. We have a couple of 2022 trailers still available, but the 2023 models will be available in the upcoming weeks. We have listed a selection on our website already, with trailers ranging from 14, 16 and 18 tonne Richard Western grain & silage trailers. Available with silage sides, blow board or rollover sheet.
